Follow the way of love and eagerly desire the gifts of the spirit, especially prophecy.
1 Corinthians 14:1
On Saturday, January 10, 3 of my teammates and I went to a church called “The Lighthouse Church” we have gone to this church a few times before, and wow they have a fire the Lord that is so evident! They truly have invited us into their church and made us feel at home and feel so loved!!
God definitely knew I had to be at their church on Saturday, The message was on Prophecy and it was fiiiire!!!! It was so good!!
What was crazy is that the evening before at Friday night in worship for the first time in prayed and told God I truly desire the gift of prophecy and I want to walk in that gift. I had been wanting the gift of prophecy for a while but ive always been scared that if I had it im scared of misusing this gift and how do I know wether it is from God or not if other people prophecy over me. So I finally took the step and truly desire the gift of prophecy and prayed about it!! And literally the next day going to The Lighthouse Church their message is on prophecy, like its not just a coincidence, God had everything planned already, he knew that I would be at that church on that day!! The pastor that shared the message is not from that church either yet he was there that Saturday and then there was also a family that was at the church as well who aren’t from this area but they travel with the ministry they do, let’s just say it was a divine appointment by God!!
In there message they gave the biblical meaning of prophecy and guidelines that the Bible gives and it was so good!!
Sister Evelyn, the mom/wife from the family truly walked with the gift of Prophecy and you could see the Holy Spirit working thru her!! She went up front and prophecied over Naomi and Avery and some other people and i truly felt like it was from God and it wasn’t forced or fake. I Truly felt peace from God. Avery and Naomi both really resonated with what she said and they truly have a beautiful testimony from that moment, when someone stepped out in faith and prophecied what the Holy Spirit revealed to her and in that she gave Glory to God!!
Later after the message the family and there team stood in front of church and if we wanted to we could go ask for prayer, I went up to Evelyn and God truly let her see my heart and what I desire!! She told me that she sees I have a motherly heart and I care for people and I comfort people when they’re going thru hard things, I dont necessarily have the words for them but im just there and care for them like a mother, she asks me if thats true, I was like yea that is me, and my friends have told me that often. She said she sees that when I have a husband and he comes to me and has a hard day or says we dont have any money right now or whatever it may be instead of getting frustrated or angry, I comfort him and tell him its okay, amd truly that meant so much to me as I have always had this fear that if I ever get married, ill lash out at my husband or not be a Godly wife and it was like God was comforting me and breaking off the lies of the enemy and speaking truth into me!! She said I am a Proverbs 31 woman which is something I truly have been wanting to walk in and she just spoke that over my life!! It was like everything she said was God speaking truth into me and it really resonated with me. She then asks me if I desire the gift of prophecy and I was like yes absolutely, and it was such a cool moment as the evening before i finally pray and ask the lord for the gift of prophecy and here he revealed that to Evelyn and it made me stop and realize how God does see the desires of my heart!! As she starts to pray for me foe thw gift of prophecy and who God created me to be, she stops and asks if I can speak in Tongues and I was like no I can’t but I want to and it was just another thing God revealed to her that was in my heart.
I felt so seen and loved by The Lord as he was showing me thru Evelyn, that he truly sees my heart and sees how I truly desire to walk with him and the gifts he has given me!! And because Evelyn walked in obedience, God used her to help me see that God sees my heart and she was able to pray over me and anoint me.
After church we went to a chinese restaurant with some of the Pastors and church people and got to fellowship with them, it was sad tho cuz this was our last time that we would see them before we leave for our next country. After lunch Evelyn was able to walk me thru a prayer of recieving the gifts of prophecy and speaking in Tongues and she encouraged me to be open and continue to pursue The Lord and his gifts!!
Carlee also has a beautiful testimony of being prayed over and prophecied over!! It was so evident that Carlee, Naomi, Avery and I were supposed to be there that day!! God was so evidently moving thru them and in our lives!! Us 4 went to a coffeeshop after to testify to each other and debrief, it was such a beautiful day of seeing God in His Glory!! It was hard saying goodbye to people who were like grandparents to us and made us feel loved and like we were at home, but I have confidence in God that I will see them again, if not here on earth then in Heaven!! Praise God!!
I would love prayer as I continue seeking the Lord and walk with him!
Our sqaud is getting ready to finish our last week of ministry here in Malaysia and get ready to fly to Guatamala, so prayers are welcomed as we transition into another season of our mission trip! And also pray for revival in Malaysia!!
