Bethel Assembly Church is the church we are doing ministry with. And wow they are such a Light in the Darkness!!! Their fire for The Lord is so evident!!! Everything they do you can see Jesus in it!!!
Wow, the first week of ministry went by so fast!! Saturday night we did sports ministry and it was super fun I played soccer for one of the first times ever!! We had 6 people on each team and 4 of us on my team had never really played before, but I thought my team did really good even tho we didnt win!! By the end of Malaysia im planning on being super good at it!!
Sundays are our Sabbath, so i slept in since we didn’t come home from sports ministry till 3:30 a.m. In the afternoon I went with some of the girls to a coffeeshop and hung out there for a while!! I think ive tried basically all the coffeeshops around here. And im excited to try all the others we discover!!
Monday thru Thursday we are teaching at the Rohingya school from 8:30-12. On Wednesdays and Thursdays my team and another team go to a bakery, and assist them in whatever way we can, its called Pekaka Bakery Workshop. There special needs adults there and they teach them life skills at the bakery!! In the afternoon we have team time and for the most part just hang out the rest of the day until evening service.
Fridays is our laundry day, we go to the laundromats at a Chinese food court so while we wait for our laundry we get to go try so many new foods!! After we come back we get to do whatever our hearts desire until the evening, when we have church and us girls dress up in their traditional dresses the women wear, and the guys where the shirts they provided for them as well!! Church is truly so good!! Worship is where the lord has been meeting me, the messages have been so good and its really what ive been needing to hear!! We’ve done 2 baby dedication since we’ve been here and its been so sweet!! Afterward we love going to Texas chicken and hanging out, it truly is such a vibe, I absolutely love the laid back, go with the flow, spontaneity vibes around here!! Its what my life is usually like back home in Kansas!!
Please continue to pray for me and my squad as we continue ministry in a way that glorifies our King!!
